Inward Revolution

You cannot change yourself at the deepest level. That which you desire to become is a projection of what you are already.

This goes against all the self-help “wisdom” in the world. But it is the truth.

All change that comes from you is a continuation of what you currently are. You change according to what you know, and this very same knowledge has made you as you are today.

True, radical change in oneself must be allowed, rather than forced. It comes from seeing that which has previously been overlooked.

It happens naturally when one sees the illogic of his ways. One does not overcome attachment by trying not to be attached, but by seeing the havoc his attachments have created in his life.

It is the same for all such changes. Anger. Fear. Anxiety. Suffering.

These things actually can be conquered once and for all. And it doesn’t take an ounce of effort.

The attempt to change your ways will keep you bound to them. The attempt to change yourself will keep you as you are.

One must see clearly. That is all.

Insight into the true nature of your problems, into the true nature of yourself, creates change all on its own.

In fact, you won’t even feel as though you are doing anything. The changes will happen without your involvement.

That which is seen cannot be unseen. That which is realized cannot be unrealized.

This is the way to lasting, fundamental change.
